Grom Vline 2 problems
Hope someone can help because GROM customer service sucks, they dont even pick up the phone. Here is one of my problems. The unit does not turn off. i shut down the car and the green leds inside the grom unit are still lit. This morning i had a dead battery. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks
From what I've seen, the green light staying on is by design and not indicative of the the unit being fully powered up. Mine does the same thing. The unit is supposed to go into a low-power sleep state after shutting the car down, otherwise it takes a while to boot up every time you start. Then after a day or so, it would shut down completely to preserve the battery. If it's not doing this properly, then Grom support might be your only option.
If you're looking for more information and opinions on the VL units, there's an owners Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/696386090967018
I've never seen a phone number for Grom, but you can open a ticket with them on their website here: https://gromaudio.com/support.html
Their support is definitely not all that great, but usually you can get a response within a day instead of calling a number that doesn't get answered.

Has anything gotten better I've been on the fence about the product for about a year and a half really want it but don't want to loose a good working nav interface. I might just have to do it
