Audio dudes HELP!! (blown ML sub)
Just got a 2006 GS430 with ML system and the woofer is entirely shot. I would love to just find a sub to stick in its place, but I am reading that it can't be done?
I've seen people say that the amp wont drive it but I don't see an explanation or understand why? I would think if I find a sub that is the same ohms and sufficient watts that I can just wire that in the same way as the OEM and be fine?
If anyone could elaborate or give me the easiest option to sound halfway decent again?

I've replaced a few subs in a Lexus I got the ohm reading stamped on the original and replaced it with one with the same impedance. Since the amp is not the most powerful get a sub with average or above sensitivity.
Okay cool that's what I thought but people were making it sound so complicated in other threads. Thank you.
