My tun for my car (2006) to get hit with the TPMS warnings. I realize each of the tires, including the spare in the trunk, hav a tpms sensor and each of the senso has a limited life battery. The battery is supposed to last ~10 years from what I read. Considering my car is 2006, does that mean all the 2006 models will need to replace the sensor if not done already?
I recently bought new tires so i had Costco re-checked and verified the tire pressure are correct in case one of the valves may go bad during the install. Costco is saying the sensor is bad. So I guess I will proceed with the replacement. The local dealer is charging -90 per sensor but it only cost -25 per OEM sensor on eBay. Anyone purchased purchased from eBay and not having issue? I worried they are perhaps old stock and the battery in those eBay sensors won’t last another 10 years (or at least few to several years). Costco is quoting -50 per sensor. Also I assume I’ll need to replace the sensor for the spare too? So 5 sensors total.
I did verify the button under the glove compartment is correct.
any wisdom/insight you can provide is greatly appreciated!!
With a scan tool they should be able to tell you which sensors are actually bad. It maybe all of them tho. Also I’m pretty sure you have a temporary spare tire and those don’t have sensors.
I would replace all 4, as the batteries life is probably near its end. I would avoid ebay, there are con artist labeling stuff that oem but really its knock offs. I would pay extra for peace of mind with Rockauto.com they sells denso (oem brand) brand sensors for $32.79 each
If you take them to a big name tire shop many can install the sensors and register them.
I've been using aliexpress tpms sensors, PVM-107K, installed first set to my winter tires on year 2020, and another set to summer tires 2021, both sets still works as original.
Toyota techstream also shows all data including temperatures and pressures itself.
Local tire dealer programmed these to my car without problems.
Those cost ~40€ each set.
These went to my Lexus GS 450h 2006 EU version. So you must check the part numbers before purchasing replacements.
I used four DENSO 5500103 sensors, from Rockauto $32 each 4 years ago. Then used an $18 Amazon cable with included Toyota TIS Techstream software to program them. Still working great!

I would like to know. What's that caution ⚠️ light for, because I have that light in my 2007 Gs350

You may need to cycle through the MID/Info screen in the gauge to see what message is coming up with the caution light. It could be anything from low tire pressure or a malfunction that's not major.

Thanks for the information, as you mentioned. I did check the info in the dash, all I could see is the Tire pressure info.
