Default Stereo stopped working - all buttons non-responsive.

The lower section of my console is dead - the volume/power and tune buttons, both eject buttons (cd player and tape player) nothing on that entire unit works. Mode on my steering wheel doesn't do anything, nor does the voice command button. I push audio and it just says audio off - pushing the power button doesnt do anything. I took it all apart hoping to find a fuse on the back but that doesnt exist. I did notice the fan wasn't turning on with everything plugged in and the car on - might only go on when it gets hot or something, but noteworthy.
Any thoughts?

Did you remove the plugs and replug them back in? Sometimes corrosion builds inside! But first thing I would check for is the fuse in the fuse box on the drivers side behind the emergency brake. If the fuse is good, next remove the radio and with a test light or a voltmeter test the wires on the plug. If theres power on the plugs then you need to trace your issue in the radio itself.

From what I remember of the lexus gs radios, that there is a fuse in the back, but its been so long since I took mine apart. Maybe you need to take them apart to reach them. But the radio is super simply to open up.

Also if you have come to the conclusion that the radio is bad, when buying a used one make sure to match the model number and buy the exact same or else it may not power up for you properly.

Yeah I did unplug/replug without any luck. Ill use a multimeter next, and yeah I checked the fuse labeled rad1 or something to that extent. There was that and TV which was the touchscreen. I saw no fuse on the back, just the square 1.5" fan
Thanks for the feedback

My Amp died and when it did, the audio was off and some buttons didnt work. I am not sure which ones did and which ones didnt. so in your case, it might be the amp but its hard to find out unless you try a new/used one and see if that fixes the problem.

Not yet. I disconnected all the wires from the amp in the trunk but it made no difference. I'm trying to determine why it turned on for a day or whatever it was then stopped again.

Update. When the car is first turned on with the fuse freshly plugged back in, I get about 30 seconds of power to hit eject so I WAS able to get my cd out from there library, phew!

But the on off **** different with and I can NEVER get the radio just power on.

Anyone know if I can replace the CD/cassette portion only? They don't appear to be wired together with the touchscreen so I would think that's ok. I found a replacement at a junkyard an hour from here.... It's actually MY CAR, lol, my previous exact same 07 450h that was totaled. 😭😭😭

Another update. I can now get it to work every time...but its not a long term fix # ; )

If I turn the car on then unplug the power plug (top right of all the harness connectors) and plug it back in - the unit gets power (lights illuminate) it checks the discs in the changer, then allows me to turn on the radio and use it without issue...until I turn the car off and back on again, then it wont work unless I unplug/plug the harness. So strange.... Think a new CD/tape portion would fix that?!

Swapped out the CD player unit from a junkyard and its good to go. $125 for a cassette/CD player - what a rip # ; )

I know this is off topic. Any way you can get a picture of your radio wire harness? I need all 3 plugs, I'm trying to trace the color to the right plugs, my wire were all cut up and im trying to get it back to factory.
