Rule of thumb is +\-3 yrs or 75k mi. Brake fluid. What’s the average amongst 3gen forum members ?

For example, Chevrolet calls for a brake fluid change on most models every 45,000 miles, but Honda says to do it every three years regardless of the vehicle's mileage. ... In addition, over time the moisture can cause internal corrosion in the brake lines, calipers, the master cylinder and other components.
I've never done a brake fluid change/flush on any of my cars. My first 3GS had 350,000km and I didn't do it, and my current one I have 137K but have not either. I guess I'll try it out once.
There in lies the dycotomy of owner services. Extending service limits is much like automotive Russian roulette though. Weighing the cause and effects of on time and extending limits is all personal choice.

The 460 we just purchased has 103k mi. The fluid looks a tad discolored but not dark. Looks like it was flushed maybe >30k mi ago. I’ll be flushing the entire system within the month.
Kind of expected the responses to run both sides of the fence like they have

I had been doing mine every 30,000 miles as a preventative measure. Probably too often. Does the brake fluid automatically get drained and replaced when you get new brakes?
No. Every time you push back the calipers to install new pads it causes air pockets. You end up bleeding and quite bit of fluid is drained and generally is a good time to fully flush if you haven’t done it lately

manual calls for every 30k miles. I took ownership of my 09' in 2015 at 73k. Records show it had been done at 30k and again at 65k. I had it flushed/replaced at 100k and just did it again at 150k (myself this time with my "speedy-bleed"). Pretty damn easy to do and cheap (3 bottles of fluid). I don't think there's a big difference in 30k-60k miles when it comes to brake fluid (assuming you're not hard breaking all the time), but now that I have a pressure bleeder...I'll do it every 30-45k miles...which for me is about every 1.5 years.
