Any new info on remote start for this car?
It's getting cold and the wife has been asking about adding a remote start to get the car warm in the morning so it's not so frosty when she leaves for work. I've researched and found some old posts that basically say she would have to carry and extra fob which I really don't want to do unless absolutely necessary. Are there any solutions TODAY that will retain the factory fob? I've never had a remote start but I just ordered a Dball2 for the 460 which I can install myself for under $70 so I need to get her something that's not too pricey. Thanks in advance.

It's funny that you started this thread as I was thinking about getting a remote starter installed on my GS350 as well. I called two reputable shops in my area and both could not find a 2011 GS in their systems. They did see the previous years, however, and it seems that the 2009-2010 is different to the 2007-2008 model, but the former should be identical to the 2011 model year. As for the options, I was told by both shops that they cannot have the starter work with the stock remote. The options that I was given was either with an additional keyfob and/or an app. The app option is $50-100 more expensive than the keyfob.
My only concern is the fact that panels need to be removed. The car is rattly enough already, so removing and replacing the panels will just make it worse.

Advice on Newer Remote Starters for 07 GS350
I'm told some of the newer digital remotes starters will not work on an 07 GS350 as they require an analog interface. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on model to get?
Anything to watch out for?
One place suggested a Clifford 4806X. Of course here in Edmonton it's 2.5x the price online from the US.
Thoughts?
Thanks
