Does anyone know what model year LX570 started to charge fir remite starting thru Enform. I hzve a 2011 and cant get remote statr to work.

 

The LX Enform and remote start have been an absolute joke on our '18. I won't be paying for these services after our subscription expires. Very old school compared to our other vehicles.

Not sure when they started charging for it, but it's like a time warp to Commodore 2000s. Then I get into one of our other vehicles and it's like I jumped into the future. Same goes for the reverse camera, holy dark tunnel.

 

Yep. If it wasn't for the reliability expectations I wouldn't have an LX. All the features seem to have been added by separate departments which never talked to each other. Compared to my Ceyenne the LX is a complete mess.

 

I also don't know when Lexus began charging for service, but I don't really mind. The annual cost is not bad -- cheaper than one month of cable or dog food. I'm not having any trouble starting my 2018 LX with the Enform remote app on my iPhone 7 -- not even a fancy phone. I think the vehicle has to be locked -- the only time it didn't work was when it wasn't. We've had spurts of bad weather, so I've used it more than I thought I would this winter. Starts quickly, too.

 

I do not think the Enform remote app is available on 2011 LX's. If I understand correctly that wasn't added until 2016. I'm not positive, but I think the only factory remote is the key fob remote start.

On my GX I had an after market remote start system put in. It had an app feature that was similar to the Enform one by lexus. I could see everything about the car's status and the key fob remote worked up to 2 miles away It went off of a different signal than most remote start systems. I loved that system and need to get it put on my LX.
