similar issue with 2006 IS250
Had the harsh 2-1 downshift at 150K miles in IS250 2006. Don't recall any trouble codes at time.
A transmission shop tested the solenoids and then looked at service bulletins.
They showed me Techinical bulletin #1739 - related to A960E transmission. Harsh 2-1 downshift when coming to stop.
They shipped out the board for me was $500 before I knew any better - but I thought trans was history so not horrific.
Replacement board resolved the issue.
