Default Folding Outside Mirrors

GS450h 2007 model. Is there any setting that makes the mirrors fold when I press the lock button on the door handle or ket fob? The mirrors did fold before, but do not now. I suspect that I might have changed the setting without knowing it. The manual does not mention it.

Wrong forum... this is the LS460 area... But, the answer is the same,.... Rocker switch on the left of steering wheel has to be in the middle or neutral position....

I think that's the dipping function for the rearview mirrors when the car is in reverse. The mirror folding switch is down there too but is just on or off.

No; that is the mirror adjustment which is left of the swivel control (on a 460).... This was discussed in detail in the 460 area and a former owner of a GS stated the feature was available.

If I had a GS owners manual (soft copy) we could find the page number for the OP.

If you have to set it to rt, lt, or center, then it's the dipping control. The mirror retraction is on or off. It has a picture of the mirrors set out and retracted on it.

There is a way. I think it requires some wiring and a module. I believe someone has done it but I would not recommend it. The plastic gears for the folding mirrors are prone to wearing out.

Sometimes I forget my GS350 even has power folding mirrors, among other features I rarely use.
