Default DIY---- Remove the AC plug with pictures.

To start off, I'm a complete noob working on a car. I figured now is the time to start learning, since the dealer charges an arm and a leg to do this. I searched this site and others for instructions. I have a 2007 GS350 with 72k that I bought new. Make sure the car is cooled down and wear long sleeves as your arms will get tore up. Once the car is on the ramps, put a fan down there to keep cool and keep your cool. Make sure you have a flash light or a good floor light.

To start I bought RhinoRamps from Advanced auto parts and just put them on the garage floor. Big mistake as they will move on you.

This is the way the worked for me. I put the tires a third on the towels and then moved the ramps under the tires.

Next remove black plastic carriage under the car with a 10mm wrench. Total 6 screws. I did add some extra drain holes, not sure I needed to but since it will drain from there now. ( I guess it could not hurt)

The best way to get to it, is with your feet out the front of the car. It was hard to take a picture of where it is located. This picture is the starting point.

now to the left of this shine the flashlight up the left side. You will see a metal indentation. The rubber grommet will be around 4 inches to the right of it. Not sure if all cars have the metal indentation. That is how I marked it on my car.

I was able to destroy center of the rubber grommet with my finger and a small screw driver. But iIwas not sure if I had done it and did not want to run the air and have it leak in the car. I ordered a wireless endoscope from amazon.

here is the picture to confirm it was removed.

I then let the car run 10 minutes and the water was leaking out of the drain and I know It was good.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I may again look for the ac plug/grommet on my 06 GS430 tomorrow. Hopefully it is located in the same place as yours. I wonder if these plugs were randomly located on the different GS models. Mine has been a bit** to locate and my bad back does not help. Lol.
