i cannot get the level bubble in place for the low beams. mostly it's the left side. i have tried working with the adjusting screws 1 and 2. any solutions / suggestions? it's too damn expensive to take to Lexus.

I know this is going to sound obvious, but are you parked somewhere that you know is perfectly flat?

I have a problem where i keep turning it too and it just doesn't go up or down. I'm putting the screw driver in the side fender hole too! does the car have to be fully on or just partially on?

Did you guys follow the directions on youtube that one of our members posted?

You'll need a long Philips to get adjusting it.

i am not a fledgling mechanic. It's just crazy when you do something easy like 'adjusting the level of the headlights' and it doesn't work. yes, I am on level ground. it's just the low beam on drivers side. I cannot even get the bubble to move. Also, in the manual it says, "make the car ready for driving" (whatever that means???) does it need to be running? Why would the car need to be running to level the headlamps? anyway, i've tried with the car running, off, headlamps on, headlamps off.

Just headlamps on is all you need. It's a far reached corner of the fender to find the cog that adjusts the headlights up and down. It took me a bit to figure out too but I figured it out eventually. Did you use a long Philips screwdriver like I said? It's a pretty far reach and our member who made the video specified which Philips screwdriver it is also. When you put that same Philips into the other adjustment holes (for testing) does it turn the cog or no?

i forgot how long my screw driver was... I know it was a #2 and a bit shy of the recommended length. ended up turning the notch as i peeped through a different angle... but no change at all. maybe i'll try some other time.

ok, thanks. yes, i know where all the adjusters are and have the correct phillips. my problem is one won't move the 'bubble' at all, and it is completely outside of the center. i think i might have to remove the headlight and make sure the bolt is not disconnected from the adjusting nut.

can someone direct me to the video? when i click the link provided it brings me to the user's photobucket album and I've looked through all of his photos consisting of a bit of his GS and a whole heck of family photos and fish but cannot seem to find the DIY video on how to adjust the headlamps.
