Default New Water Issue

I've read all the threads about what causes the mats to get wet inside the car. My sunroof drains are clean and clear, the a/c doesn't cause it, rain doesn't cause it, however, whenever I go to my car wash, it soaks the rear carpets. I'm assuming it's the high pressure under-carriage water that gets in. I'm just not sure how or why. If it's a problem or the car wash's fault. I need to get the water out and the carpets dried asap. Do I just not wash my car anymore?

I believe the older 06-07 GS's had an issue with evaporator drip drain being clogged up. Theres a trick to unclogging if your car is one

If theres very little water in the car you can use a wet n dry vacuum and vacuum the water. Then with the vehicle outside on a hot day let the car idle with the heater on full blast and have the vents aimed at the carpet. Also put the sunroof in the raised position the heat will heat the water and it will evaporate out of the sunroof crack. Leave it running for an hour and should be all dry.

If theres lots of water in the carpet, then you can pop open the molding trim strips raise each corner of the carpet and vacuum under the carpet. Then do the heating method

Thank you for the drying tips!

The water is coming from the car wash though. Are you suggesting that this evap drain being clogged could be causing the large amounts of water inside the cabin?

I would avoid the car wash next time to confirm that the water is coming in from the under side of the car. Are all your door seals in good condition? Try spraying the car with water at each section the checking for water inside the car.

I would if I had a hose. That's why I'm forced to go to the car wash (which I hate in general). I am going to avoid it for now, let things dry out and pray for no molding. I vacuumed what I could out last night but it is still pretty wet.

The seals are in good condition.

Check that all the floor drain plugs are in. Sounds like you're missing one.
