If the original Bit One installer connected the factory outputs incorrectly, for example like tying the speaker negative output(s) to ground instead of the "-" inputs of the Bit One, the amps could have been damaged (although they should have been ground short protected by design). Who knows. That's why I'm asking lots of questions. If, for example, the - outputs are toast, but the + outputs are still OK, then it would be fine to drive the Bit One from only the + speaker signal.

Gotcha, I don't know how an installer can screw that up.... Not saying you're wrong, but maaaaan, you gotta be pretty dun duh duh to mess up the amp. I'm a beginner in car audio (by no means am I an expert) and I couldn't mess THAT up.
