Default Strange wobble at high speed

Hello all!

I have a 2006 GS300 awd with 116,000 highway miles, no accidents. The car has been well maintained and I have been keeping up with any issues. I have two right now that are baffling me a bit:

1. The primary one - I do a lot of highway driving, and when I am over 65mph, If I let off the gas (no braking, just off the gas) the whole car seems to wobble quite bad. As soon as I push the accelerator even a slight bit, the wobble completely goes away. This does not happen at lower speeds at all. The bearings all seem to be nice and tight.

2. I get an intermittent metallic "rattle" from the front drivers side when going over little bumps and potholes - sounds like a heat shield or wrench klunking around by the control arms, but only happens over little bumps, will Not happen when going over a regular speed bump or something of that size. I will also get a tenuous clicking noise from the drivers side front end when turning to the right into my parking spot. I pulled off the front drivers side wheel and firmly pushed and pulled and tried to bang on every piece in the well and underneath, and I could not locate anything with any sort of play/movement.

Please let me know if I can provide any more specific detail to help this out! I am willing to put in the money to get it right, but I don't want to go buying all new parts without at least doing some research first.

Thanks so much - Matt

Hi, no they have not. The boots and clamps are all clean and in good shape though.

Yes, same 17" oe wheels that are in your sig. There has been no modification to suspension or drivetrain either aside from brake maintenance.

theres a few things to look at then:

- tire wear
- alignment
- tie rods

I will take a closer look at these. New tires going on the car in two weeks, and I will get it aligned shortly after inspecting the tie rods and etc... anything else to watch out for?

I also noticed that metallic noise happens mostly at low speed as I pull into a parking spot, and i can almost get it to replicate over and over if i tap/pulse the brake on and off. this doesnt explain the rattling over small bumps, but does give me something!

Last thing - threw a P0430 CEL, bank 2 catalyst efficiency below threshold, anyone know common causes? o2 sensor? which one?

Thank you all so much again,
Matt

I had a wobble once, and it was also at a specific speed.

Turns out one of the balancing weights on the wheel fell off

I have the same issue, kicks in a little faster though so its not as much of an issue. 75-80mph it starts by 90 it is scary - but when I'm on the gas I can barely feel it. Really kicks in when I let off.

Let me know what you find out. I'm replacing a couple wheels that look like they have some damage.
