I know when we have our sun shade up it automatically closes when I put the car in reverse...is there any way to turn this feature off?

 

Just leave the shade down?

 

Would like to know this as well. Would save some wear and tear over the long haul.

i would say just unplug the entire thing if it really bothers you while its up.. then you wont have to worry about it

 

just tint your window then you dont even need to use it

i think i only had mine up once just to see it lol.

 

Short of disconnecting it while it's up, there is nothing else you can do. It's a safety feature since most state DOTs require you to look out the rear window when reversing.

Once backup cameras are accepted as rear window substitutes, we may also see some cars without rear windows!

 

I didn't know it goes down when in reverse. Mine stay down. LOL

 

only option is to pull the fuse.

 

thats funny, mine used to go down automatically when i reversed. after i changed my battery it stoped doing that. i figured it has to be programed. try disconnecting your battery for a few minutes.

 

I like how it goes up and down, makes the car feel more expensive. lol

 

lol and it does get expensive when it stops working
