Garax for $90; XenonDepot for $120, Philips Ultinon for $250+ are the options that seem to work well for 3GS.

Don't forget the Toshiba's. They're suppose to be good too!

My vote also goes for Garax like IXI.

Good point on the Toshiba. I am very happy with the 5000k Xenon Depot bulbs. Very pure white color and great output. I had a road trip last week to FL and was very pleased with the new bulbs.

You definitely don't wanna get those cheap $30 bulbs, gonna cost u more in the long run. I'm talking from experience I had to buy brand new ballast, due to bulbs burning connector

Sounds like a ballast. My headlight literally went out as I pulled into the parking garage. Swapped the bulbs, and I think the water getting into my headlight cooked the ballast, so i bit the bullet and said if water is getting in, itll cook the next ballast in short order. Of course it comes a week after a $590 tesla style head unit and a $760 alternator. Capped off the week with a $290 headlight. I guess these things come in threes?
