Recall for cam gear noise and now this???
I had the recall work done on my GS350 awd a few months ago at the dealers suggestion. Then the recall came out a few weeks ago and my service advisor told me the parts were updated since the last one, and they did the cam gear replacement again. Now when i give it more throttle than normal I feel a vibration that wasn't there before and every now and then at a red light it feels like it might die. NO lights have come on at all. What should I do? If they work on it a third time, is it a lemon?

Sorry to hear that. I can relate... after getting my car back from having the cam gear recall performed I was driving home from work the next day and my power steering gave out on the expressway... waited 2 hrs for a tow and it turned out the mechanic didn't properly replace a wire harness...

Sounds like people are having more problems from bringing the car in for these big jobs than they had before hand... kind of makes me wonder if I really do want those piston rings replaced or not.

I took my car in for the recall and after a week no issues. Today while I was waiting for my daughter at a soccer field, my other daughter said...."daddy your car is smoking". Lifted the hood and something was burning but I couldn't tell by the smell what it was. It was coming from the left side of the engine. I will check and see later if something is leaking on my garage floor. I too have also felt some weird vibration.

I had the recall work done January 13th at Kuni Lexus in Greenwood Village and now have a vibration while in drive or reverse (it's worse in reverse). I was out of town after getting the car back and wasn't able to drive the car until now and I could really feel a difference. It's not a harsh vibration but the car never had this issue previously. I could barely hear the engine besides the ticking noise (which I've grown to like), but this isn't normal. I'm taking it in this week and we'll see what happens. There's no loss of power or response at all. No other symptoms either.
OP - Did you ever have your problem fixed?
