^ unless he's talking about the whole headlight assembly. But than it should still be an easy job. He'll need more than a body shop, he needs president Obama.

i think i gave some good instructions and pictures on how to swap out the whole housing. its not too difficult.
well the good thing is even if you need a new light, they are cheaper now. i remember replacing mine and i was paying around 400 for a decent one (still better than the 1200 the dealer charges) but you can find them now for around 200.
if you have any questions when you replace it worker, feel free to pm me.
Exactly what I wanted to see.... and you're right, without UV protection our headlights go to the pooper (It's also a reason why I am very biased to glass headlights, those stay shiny and clean FOREVER.
It doesn't look too bad, the angle looks like it's crackling inside, and not through the glass, but I could be wrong as pictures aren't as detailed as your own two eyes.
Have you tried headlight repair kit + some clear coat with some added sealant on it for further UV protection? It's a project I plan to tackle after my subwoofer boxes get done.
Nice job
I bought this blue paste from Autozone to use on my Maxima when the headlights would turn hazy and pitted and it worked great. I forget the name of it, but it comes in a dark blue bottle with a lighter blue colored cap and is usually found with the car detailing/ washing supplies. Be liberal with it and it gets any discoloration out and keeps it that way for a while.
I used it on my Maxima several times, and the final time I used it I spread that stuff on like I was making a sandwich for a mayo addict (the first few times I wasn't as liberal with it). It left the headlights looking brand new. Give it a shot as it's a sub-$15 bottle I believe, and could save you the cost of buying new headlights if all the issue is, is the discoloration.
