Default 2007 450h won't lock with remote.

I have two keys. Both are out of the car. I hit the lock button the remote, nothing happens. I hit the rubber button on the door handles long beep. As I exit the vehicle with my key it gives me the three beeps like it is still on or something. Ideas? I am at a loss.

I've tried swapping the battery.

You may need to clean out the circuit board with electrical cleaner.

sounds like the car thinks the key is still inside the vehicle. Is it possible a previous owner had a credit card key cut and left it somewhere in the car? The dealer may be able to tell if more than 2 keys are registered in the ECU.

Maybe test with each key separately (put the other one FAR away), as well as remove the key from a different location by exiting the car from the pass side or rear doors.

I doubt it as it was not able to work with the hybrid GS. Maybe the battery is dying, or the car may need to be reset battery wise.

All of those symptoms happen when the car is left on. Whether the engine is running or the car is just on with no engine going, all three of those things will happen. Make sure the car is off and not on, not even accessory mode.

Well, if it is a 2009 or newer 3GS GSh than you could get a card key Sewell Card Key 2009 GS450h

But I still don't think that is the issue here.
