Default AWD 3GS High Speed Stability

I realize that most of you can't legally drive at speeds upwards of 100mph in the states. I can't even remember if I reached 100 mph in my GS in the states. Might have once or twice on an open stretch just to see the acceleration, but I do take care to keep reasonably within the speed limit. I usually cruise control at around 80-85 mph on long highway trips.

But now I've been stretching the AWD GS out a bit on the German autobahn and I'm a little bit disappointed in high-speed stability. It seems to be very lacking of proper aerodynamics at anything over 100 mph. I think it may have something to do with the way the front is higher than the rear?

I'm going to install the coilovers after the winter season and see if the better damping/spring rates/ride height improve things. Hopefully it doesn't vibrate and wobble enough for me to take them off. Car just seems a little bit darty and unstable at speed. I would think that 120-130 mph would be very stable in these cars.

For now, I'll just slow down. The "no speed limit" areas are not as abundant as you would think on the autobahn, but would be nice to take advantage of them while I can.

That's because it's so high, unless you have lowered the car. I have gone 100mph comfortably with no stability problems.

Have to put 8 or 10 psi more into the tires for those speeds. Its in the manual.

I already have the BC coilovers. They've been sitting in the box unused for three years.

Lol. Germans are very impatient drivers. Gotta watch those speed cameras though. They're all over the place and you can't get out of tickets with a lawyer here like in the states. Good thing is that the tickets are usually like 10-20 euros compared to several hundred dollars.

Tire pressure... TRY IT Its not aerodynamics... Its your tires/pressure. You don't need coilovers for the autobahn.
When was the last time you got an alignment?

Yeah, I know I don't need coilovers for the autobahn. It's that my car is darty at speed. I was wondering if the high front/low back of the AWD 3GS is a problem. My car was aligned and tires balanced about 6 weeks ago. I didn't check the tire pressure... new tires, so I assumed they filled it right. I'll check on it though.
