Default Bad battery?

So just last week I goto start my car and it sounded weak, I just thought it was cuz it was a cold start in the morning anyway that night my car wouldn't start and I had to shut off my headlights and I was able to get it to start and the passed few days I've been having similar symptoms do you think it's a battery or alternator?

Had the same issues the last few weeks. I just felt the starts were sluggish and the battery was going. One day I air up a tire with the car off and of course it doesn't start. Got onto clublexus and read up on recommended batteries. Got my car jumped and drove it to Autozone where the dead battery was confirmed and I got it replaced with a Duralast Gold 24-DLG model. $110+tax (more than the $95 the person on CL got it for).

Now back to ultra quick starts. And for some reason my idle speed feels lower.... but no worries as that should save me some gas.

The original is a Panasonic. My battery was dead after 77k miles and just over 5 years.

I replaced it at Autozone with the Duralast Gold 24-DLG. They did all the work and the battery is recommended on a lot of the threads on here. They just removed the plastic piece that holds the battery. I may do the OEM look per this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...placement.html

Or maybe not if I'm lazy.

Happened to me too. Sluggish starts and got so bad the gauge lights would flikker weirdly when starting...changed it to duralast and starts fast now. Doubt it's the alternator as no battery light lights on the dash.

yeah... O.E. lexus batteries suck.

BTW, just some food for thought Arantant, your idles are lower because the car has to work less charging your system.... Therefore that is more than a big plus
