Highest MPG reached On GS350 3rd gen?
Simply out of Curiosity I wanted to know what has been the highest MPG any of you have reached on your Lexus GS350's 3rd gen?
I was cruising at over 70mph when I reached about 29.7mpg which has been the highest on my 2009 GS.
I took a picture when I hit 20,000 miles on the vehicle and the MPG was 29.1
-The car is up for sale in NY

If I just drove around the neighborhood, it would be more like 14 mi/gal. Strictly highway at 80mph was 26 mi/gal......
I did not reach much at the beginning. This was short after a re fueling and a reset. My current MPG (still with that same tank of gas) is 19.7. I never used to pass 15mpg in the city. Im surprised with this one.

Best I've gotten was 33mpg going home 90% highway 10% city. This is running on 87 octane.
Regularly on long distance travels I usually get 31mpg (150 miles highway) and when running about 50% city 50% highway I get around 28mpg. All running on 87 octane as well.
Also it seems as though ideal MPH range for best MPG for me is around 45-60MPH. Any higher than 60MPH my MPG starts to decrease probably due to wind resistance.

08 GS350 18" wheels 245 wide tires (stock) and now 255 wide same sidewalls.
I can get consistant 30+ highway at 75-85 avg mph.
I have done this on trips from Phoenix to Washinton DC and multiple western road trips up to Canada and Washington/Oregon areas.
This is great MPG for a 300 HP not light at all luxoliner!!!!!!

Surprising so many people have reached these high mpg's as well. Im running on stock everything on the car. I average around 23-24 on highway and 15 or so city. This might be because I use the shell v-power gas. I know it gives more power, but im thinking it burnes faster.
My 430 gets 14-15 in city and 23-28 on highway....but its too much fun at high speeds. The rush I get from going 70-120 in a few seconds is to much to resist, when the road permits. Few blasts like that and I am in a 22-24 Mpg zone on the highway. Otherwise 25-28 is possible, if you drive like a....
I owned a 73 Lincoln Mark IV witha 7.5 liter V8. 5mpg in city, 8-9 on highway at best. Needless to say I only did 3000 miles in one year, mostly to car shows and just cruising around having a good time.

With a 450h, hwy trips aren't much better then the 350. I avg about 28 but I've gotten 34 multiple times.
problem is, you really have to have a lead foot to keep those electric motors on and bring the MPG up. But then you get a ticket :-)
I've seen 38 while doing 90. All motors cranking but covering twice the distance the V6 could accomplish on its own. I think they should re tune the software
