Default New Member About To Pull Trigger On GS350

Hi everyone, just signed up yesterday and posting my (gulp) first message.

I am about to commit on a slightly used GS350, but right when I was about to hand over the cash for an '09 w/Navi another one became available ('10 w/Navi).

Both are dark colored which I like ('09 dark blue, '10 black) both with black interiors. '09 only has just over 20K miles, '10 with 22K miles. So newer one has 2,000 more miles. Both excellent primo condition, but...the '10 is $4,000 more.

Besides an advantage in the Bluetooth (I read somewhere you can stream your iPhone music wirelessly in the 2010 model), is there anything else significantly better in the 2010? I mean making the later model at least four grand better? Especially since the miles are about the same between the two?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this decision.

PS. Neither has the Mark Levinson audio, just regular sound system.

I would take the '10 as it has the most up to date features and they both have no ML so its even. I would def try to get at least $2,000 off are these CPO if so I would get rid of it and get your own in time as its an '10. Good luck!

Thanks for trying to help.

Naw, these aren't CPO, but I'm curious what you mean by the 2010 having the most up to date features? I heard the '09 just went through some updates so I am wondering what the difference is in the 2010, especially for $4,000 more.

The mileages are almost identical, plus I did the car fax thing and they both were sold within four months of each other brand new, so the warranties would expire about the same time (Oct.2013 for the 2009 and Feb.2014 for the 2010 car).

So to me the age is a toss up since I would extend the warranty and keep the car a while. I know the resale is better for the 2010 but I'd have to pay four grand more for it right now, will it be worth four grand more when I sell it later?

Guess I'm talking myself more into the '09 even as I type this, but if the 2010 has more (significantly good) features then I would have to consider it.

Thanks again, and if anyone knows for sure what other features the '10 has over the '09 please let me know.

There isn't any dramatic difference or features between the 2. I would suggest the 2010 if u can get it for maybe 2k higher then the 09, if not take the 09 and call it a day.

The only difference is the navigation system which allows you to stream bluetooth music, and its the newest navigation, generation 6 and I believe the '09 is generation 5.

I would go for the '09. If everything is pretty much the same why tie up an extra $4,000?

I'm going to guess he has made his decision by now, as this was around 4 months ago.

Yes I went for the '09. Couldn't be happier. Only issue were tiny rattles I traced to both inside front door pulls (the plastic plates behind the pulls were both loose fitting when I tapped on them) but I wedged a thin bit of cardboard under the edges of each plate and -- total blissful silence now. BTW does anyone know how to remove these so I can work on a more permanent fix? Just pop them out? There seems to be a little screwdriver-width slot along the top middle edge of each plate.

Yep in Vegas, and yep, that cassette player has actually saved me a couple times already in my line of work!
