Default need help fellas

well i have an 08 gs350 awd it has 73000 miles on it...it has f sport intake and exhaust..well heres the problem.. today when i jumped on it hard it kicked down hard as it should but then as it wound up it started sputtering i could hear the exhause spudder like a machine gun and started to lose power, it has only done this a few times.. do u think the tranny slipped or something possibly with air fuel ratio problems..i just bought it a few weeks ago and its still under the 30 day warranty from the dealer. its not a problem i can duplicate all the time.. please help me diagnose this.....

its called limp mode... basically the ecu is put into it when it sees the car doing something "bad" or does it to prevent damage to the vehicle.. if anything, i would check with the dealership about the issue, as your car might either need the ecu reflashed or you should just try to unplug the battery for about 10 min to reset the ecu.

my car does it from time to time when im driving in really hot weather and i push on it.

Mine was doing that until I swapped out my gas cap.. theres a recall on the gas caps I think.. they dont make a good seal and for whatever reason put your car in limp mode when you hammer it.

How long has the intake been on the vehicle? Sometimes when putting a new intake on a vehicle, the ECU has to re-learn itself the new fuel/air ratio and when you get on it it sputters and eventually take off when you starts to raise off it.
