Being that my car is 450h, I am not familiar with what is standard on a car and what was an option.

A couple of weeks ago, a woman decided to put on eye make up and hit me head on. The car is in the body shop and one of the parts needing replacement was the speed sensor. My body shop was telling me that the emblem has the speed sensor but does he mean that piece behind that emblem? The reason why I am asking, is now that the grill has been demolished, I would want an aftermarket grill, but would that disable my speed sensor?

 

The emblem on these cars comes with a radar cruise control where if you come close to the car it slows you down. I think with an aftermarket grill as long as the emblem can be attached I don't think you should have a problem with it.

 

The car does not come standard with laser speed control. It's an option. But the logo assembly on the grill is configured for that option on all GSh's. I am sure those grills have been discussed here in another thread.

It is a known fact that the GSh grills are very expensive due to the technology built into that logo centerpiece. I would think that unless you have the speed control option that you could go to an aftermarket grill.
