Got a offer for my GS today and told him money talks and to come back on friday with a cashier check made out to my bank, and if it checks out then he can have the keys.

I wish him luck but WAKE UP! He didn't get an offer. He told of his selling price! There's a difference.

Personally, I wouldn't value the car at $35K. You can pick up an 06/07 for $23K and for much less then the remaining $12KK you can modify as you please. But often the value of a car includes emotional attachment (which I understand but shouldn't be relevant).
