Personally, I wouldn't value the car at $35K. You can pick up an 06/07 for $23K and for much less then the remaining $12KK you can modify as you please. But often the value of a car includes emotional attachment (which I understand but shouldn't be relevant).
Then again, what was it that PT Barnum said???
I did tell he my asking price was 35k but he offered 30k up front to start. You could'nt built my car for the same prie unless you owned a body shop to get it paint the same way I had my car painted. My kit you can't purchase anymore and the stereo would cost at least 4k for just the equipment lol.Originally Posted by Bushwack

LOL, I took my car to Carmax and they offered me 25.5k. I guess the numbers do make sense since I have a 350 ML. Oh well, I'm going to sell it to them and reinvest my money properly.

There's a bunch of old heads on CL that think the things you and I do are impractical and a waste of money... Not a lot of us that like to push things to any sort of degree other than being conservative...

Given the choice between a GS350 with 22" aftermarket wheels and lowered suspension which has to be driven carefully and slow because of pot holes, and a stock GS460 which can do a 1/4 mile in 13.6 seconds and pull 0.9G on the skidpad, what would you choose?

I wouldn't take any GS with 22"s but that's just me.Originally Posted by *Batman*

I'd take the stock GS460 then put F-Sports suspension on it.

Interesting. What's the mileage on your car? And are you turning your car back to stock before selling to carmax?Originally Posted by ek9vboi

Now there are people who customize their car until the day the die, so Batman Chip foose is trying to act like a teenager and be on facebook, I don't think people car are thier hobby and some like to take it a step futher tahn other. Just because you don't understand why we change the color or take a 50k car and lay it out on the ground is no reason to bash someone. I understadn if it not your thing but for the older head on CL they alway have thier opinion and we have ours.

So I guess because you have stock wheels potholes dont hurt the car? Originally Posted by *Batman*

And Im sorry if you ask me it takes alot more ***** drive a car lowered and modified than behind the wheel of a mostly stock car. Oh and running the GS in the 1/4 mile seems kinda lame, If you want to go fast this isn t the car unless it has a 2jz swap
