Default Loaner question

Getting my car serviced and the manager said 1 week for part to arrive but wont give me a loaner because they didn't start to "work" on the car yet because no part and they keeping it there for a week wtf?

And he said when parts arrived and its getting fixed, I'm no eligible for loaner because my Lexus was purchased at another Lexus dealership more WTF?

Is this bs or the real deal? anyone experienced this

wow, I always got a loaner no matter what, even brought my wifes car (bmw) to get detailed and they gave me one. I don't get free gas though as some people here have posted.

lol, i would talk to gm. if they take my car, they give me a loaner. otherwise they can kiss my behind. and no, i never service my cars at the dealership i bought them from.

but then again seems like you are in canada. not that i think it should be different, but who knows what "rules" they have there

I'm gonna call tomorrow and ask for loaner, if I don't get one I'm just gonna take my car to my old dealer and have my car fixed there. I called Lexus Canada and they told me I should get one regardless of what dealership, man I hate this other dealer, they can lick my b . . . .

No loaner? That's f-ing BS! Just tell them you'll be sharing this experience with CL members and make sure we'll stay away from this dealership!

Did you call in and make a reservation/appointment for the work? Everyone wants a loaner these days; so my local dealer is requiring that you call in and make a loaner reservation.

Even without a reservation, the dealership is supposed to give you a loaner if they plan to keep your vehicle! Just let them know (once you recieve your vehicle) that they have lost your busniness and that corporate Lexus will hear of this! (The picture on their face will be priceless.)

No reservations was made because I got it towed in after my car wasn't drivable.

Alright here's the update, I just called and he said he can only give me a loaner once he orders the part and gets a call back from Lexus Canada to confirm my car's problem (he sent a report to them).

**Update**
They said during the waiting time for parts to be shipped, they cannot give me a loaner, is that a Lexus policy? or just some bs?

So I canceled my service there and bringing it back to my original dealer. F . . . so much hassle now I have to pay for towing because roadside only covers 1 mechanical tow a month or some ****.

Lexus starts playing cheap now. I have been bringing my loaner Acura back to the dealer, they never charge me for the gas. Last time I brought back the IS loaner back to the dealer, they charge me $30+ for only less than 1/4 tank. Such a rip off.
