The car is a 2006 with @32k miles and is mostly garaged. I usually use a damp microfiber rag. I don't use any chemicals. Went to get in the car one day and thats what it saw or should I say could not see

Yea, mine looks similar to that. I have yet to install my "new" one from eBay though.

Default You can have your mirrors REPAIRED

Don't spend hundreds on new mirrors when they are "etching"... getting weird streaks on them. (This is happening because the silver "paint" is coming off of the back of the glass.)

A company called www.radar-mirror.com will repair them for you... even the auto-dimming ones for under $100. You just send them your mirror and then send it back typically in one business day.

(PS. I don't work for or even know anyone at this company. I'm just using them myself.)

REARVIEW MIRROR UPDATE

I contacted Scott @ radar-mirror.com about repairing my mirror. I sent a pic and he said they can fix it for $89 plus shipping. This includes a 1yr warranty.. I'm going to give it a shot. Maybe someone could get them to do a group sale. Also, I was wondering if anyone had instructions on how to remove the mirror.

Wish me luck.................

guys, no group buys allowed unless it is through a CL authorized vendor here. rules are the rules.

edit: did a quick search, but did not find any threads or posts on how to remove the rearview mirror. maybe someone who has done this before or knows how to do this can chime in an give you some help.

I'm having mine looked at tomorrow by service adviser. He says that piece is not covered under warranty but if they agree and see it as a safety issue it would be covered by Lexus. I'll throw a fit in that place and get it fixed worst case scenario.

The big question is if I'll get my peeling drip moldings replaced that look like ****. The odds aren't good on that one.

I understand the group buy policy. It would be nice to make them a vendor. Look like the offer some nice goodies.
