what year, cause I believe that the 2010-11 GS's are the ones that have the iphone transfer. I don't believe anything other years had it, you can still use the bluetooth but other than that no transfer.

seems like you have 08, it won't transfer. lexus didn't get it done until gen6 nav system, which started in 2010.

you can copy all contacts to sim, take out sim and put it in another phone that allows transfer to the car, and go that route

yup only able in the 2010 models. ive heard of people using a bluetooth stacker to do it also but it requires a jailbroken iphone.

Yea, I read about the transferring of contacts to a sim and then placing that sim in a compatible phone. Why doesn't the dealer offer this service??
It would be simple for them to provide this customer service. It's a pain in the butt to not have this work on my 2006 GS300.
My car is in for service right now and my loaner, a 2010 H250, worked like a charm, even was streaming audio via bluetooth. I know they will never offer the bluetooth function for the older models but it would be easy for them to transfer our contacts. Oh well.

^ why would you sync your phone and contacts in a loaner car? imo i dont even like having that information stored in my car.

the dealer could offer this as a service but lets be honest, would you pay probably the hour or so rate they would charge to do this?

are there any other phones that use the "micro" sim that the iPhone 4 has?

just get a microsim to normal sim converter, ebay is your friend

i don't see why dealer would provide this as free service. we can blame lexus for being slow and didn't get it to work until 2010

contacts don't even save on the sim card of the iphone 4, so putting it on a different phone wont work.

All you really need to do is get a second cheap phone such as a motorola razr and just transfer contacts and then use your iPhone for calls. Worked for me unless you can't get a cheap phone then do the sim card switch.
