iphone 4 not transferring contacts

I synced my son's Droid with Outlook on my computer and used the Droid to transfer the phone book. Then I re-synced the Droid with his computer so he had his list of contacts, etc. Worked like a champ.

I have a 06 is250 and it says it is doing it but unless it takes over 15 mins its not working.. I have the iphone 4

did you read the posts above? you have gen5, iphone transfer does not work

LOL I did but I was confused because it says that it is doing the transfer when I hook my phone up,
I thought maybe the person who had the car before me may have done some kind of hack or something. I am new to Lexus so I have lots to learn

on another note, i am never a fan of transferring phonebook to the car anyway, very very insecure. i can never understand why lexus has to do it this way when bmw and mb simply "access" the contacts in real time

UGH! I just bought an '08 GS350 for my wife. Had I read this b4 I wouldn't have gotten it! What a pain to enter all contacts by hand. The salesman kept saying that it takes 'awhile' for the contacts 2 transfer... Yea right. Try never!!! That salesman knew it wouldn't really transfer. 😖

what phone would allow a transfer to the car?

you can copy all contacts to sim, take out sim and put it in another phone that allows transfer to the car, and go that route

so pretty much any simpler phone other than an iPhone?

I've heard that phones with Android as well as Blackberry's send the contacts pretty easily.

+1 i call maybe 6 -10 different people from my car and i have over 300 contacts in my iphone. So id much rather go this route. Should i need to call a restaurant or something i can always pick up the phone.
