Default Headliner Question

I'm wondering if anybody has dropped a headliner recently. I noticed that mine is hanging a bit at the passenger side rear door, near the middle. I pulled the weather stripping away and noticed that there is a black clip of sorts, more like a "blade" that doesn't seem to be connected to anything on the roof and I can't figure out for the life of me where it's supposed to connect to.

I realize without a picture of what I'm talking about it's difficult to figure out, but if you're taken a headliner down recently you probably know exactly what I'm talking about anyway.

I suspect that maybe this isn't supposed to be a "blade", and may be a "u" shaped clip that should have another side to it facing outwards that should slide into the roof rail that had been broken at some point. Unfortunately the piece of the clip that remains is freaking glued to the headliner so it doesn't look like an easy replacement and I might have to macgyver it. There is no sign of the other piece of the clip anywhere if this is the case.

Any ideas?

I have not noticed that but I'll check again tonight. What I have noticed is I much prefer a black or alacantra headliner to the gray I have with my black interior.
