Default power folding side mirror question

1)Is there anyway to program the mirror to fold when car is lock?

2)Is there anyway to program the mirror to fold back out when car is start?

I don't see why you can't use the lock unlock signal with a relay setup to fold and unfold hte mirrors. The button just sends a signal so you would just need to figure out what kind of signal it is, voltage and length of pulse. be happy you 3rd gen guys have them....I have been scouting ebay for a set of JDM ones on ebay to install....fairly rare yet the 1st gen ones are easy to find.

im sure its as simple as tapping into a wire but imo i wouldnt do it. those mirrors are made so cheap that people have problems with the gears breaking inside. i wouldnt want those mirrors doing any extra work lol.

haha i am thinking the same. even on my ls460l, i never put it in auto mode. it's not like the parking spaces are that narrow in general here in the US

I rarely find the need to use this option.
