Default side mirror question

I was looking at this guy's blog and found out that he did a mod to his IS where side mirrors get folded when he locks the doors. Also when he unlocks the door, side mirros will unfold. ANybody in this forum knows or how to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Wow, everytime you lock/unlock your doors the mirrors move? Wouldnt that really wear out quickly? I would rather have a button to control it only when I need it. I have never needed it, but would be something Id like to have if it came with the car.

But Japanese cars come with power-folding mirrors stock, so that would have made it easier for him to do the mod.

i guess it's because of the space issue they have in japan.
in japan everything is so tight and compact thus they want to fold everything they can to minimize. haha
however, i believe LS (in us) comes with that.
it will be nice to have that thing on is as well... shoot...

Our 2IS have power-folding mirror without auto-folding function. So, I need it.
LS has already this function. Maybe also GS.
