Default DVD player issues

So I tried out the DVD player on the ML system for the first time since receiving my car...doesn't work properly

The audio works perfectly...but there's no picture? wtf.

I haven't yet installed the DVD/GPS unlocker yet, or messed with any electronics on the car, so warranty should be good. Just wanted to check before I took it in this weekend if there was some easy fix I'm overlooking.

Was the AT in "P" and was the parking brake applied?

Good call, it was the parking brake. Apparently leaving the car in "P" without the parking brake active allows you to hear audio, but gives you a static blue screen.

Definitely going to install the parking bypass doohickey.

^ I didn't know about the parking brake. LOL

Never really watch video in my car really. Screen too small. And I always put on the parking brake.
