Default First mods

Hello everyone,

I just bought a brand new 2010 GS350 two days ago and i was just wondering what people mod on their car first. I was thinking performance first and then maybe visuals later, although i would like new HID high beams. So if anyone has any recommendations on any mods that would be great.

Lower it! Or even cheap lighting mods. Check out the FAQ sticky and you'll find a lot of answers

welcome to club lexus!

In my line of work, I start with an after burner. Then I add bulletproofing. Weapons. And finally a Bat Symbol.

I don't think we really have any realistic options when it comes to serious performance modifications, do we?

To my knowledge, no one has found a way to access the ecu, and if you're willing to plunk down the cash for a turbo or supercharger, then you just have way too much idle time and money in my opinion. Intake and exhaust mods on our car are mostly for aesthetics and making aggressive noise, adding negligible if any performance enhancement.

There are a few mods you can add to enhance handling and braking (like beefier swaybars and big brakes) but for the most part I think our mods here tend to be aesthetic.

put it this way, there is no simple bolt on mods that will give you any significant power gain

This thread is a pretty good menu of mods. Most of us do things that are on this thread.

The favorites would be F-Sport upgrades, lighting upgrades, aero-kits, tints, wheels, lowering springs, exhausts, and custom installed radar detectors.

Headers would give you the most significant gain in power.

LOL.

I did a few mods at the same time, but my first was 6000k bulbs, matching 6000k hid fogs and putco led bulbs. Almost immediately after I did fsport springs. My 3GS came with the 18" spyders so Im getting away with taking my time to choose the right set of rims, but my next mods will be an intake, exhaust, rotors/pads and sways.

Also are the F-sport suspension upgrades worth it? Are there any other upgrades that do better for the same-ish price?

Sewell will take good care of you on the FSport items.

I suggest to lower and get rims first. These go hand in hand.

The f-sport upgrades are good and if you buy parts from sewell or shop around they aren't very expensive. There should be a promotion in June to sweeten hints further.

Is the promotion for people that actually buy a car or for existing owners as well ?
