Default Wheel Locks - How to Unlock

I bought my '09 brand new and it came with wheel locks. The other day I went to a Discount Tire for rotation + balance, and I realized that I don't think I ever got the key. Was I supposed to have gotten those during purchase? How do I get them now? It's been over a year now and Lexus did the rotation at the 5000-mi service (I think).

Yeah just go back there and tell them you never got it. OR, it could have been in the trunk along with the little set of wheel/jack tools. Have you checked?

they lost your key then, go and tell them last time they did the service on your vehicle they lost the key to your lugs.

they SHOULD give you a new one free of charge....

If not, it's 10-15$ per lug key... and the service guy will most likely have to walk outside and go key for key to see which pattern is YOUR key lol.... this is random from the dealership, each GS, even the same model yr and package, will have a random set of lug keys

at dealerships techs have generic key for all their locks, they never need yours

but for yours, have you check in the spare tire / tool compartment? usually the key is somewhere in there. it should be in a black pocket

I never thought any tire shop needed the keys... there are generic lug removers that have little retracting rods that fit into any lock.

It's sad when the tire shops can't do what any teenage wheel thief can.

Dealerships have a master set of keys but you'll likely need a new set of locks. I have a extra set for sale if you'd like em. PM if interested.

Thanks guys. I found it right next to the spare. I could've sworn that it was in the glove compartment when I first bought the car though ... o.O

First thing I did after buying the car, I bought 4 regular lugnuts and replaced those locks with regular nuts. I have yet to hear about anybody loosing a stock wheel to a theft.
