Wheel Key
I recently bought a 98 GS 400 that is missing the wheel key. I have searched and searched on where to get a key but am coming up empty. Any guidance you could give me would be great.

dealer might have the key unless it's a 3rd party like gorilla or mcgard, then they wouldn't have those... if you can't get a key, then there are ways to get them off but you would need to get new lug nuts
After checking every inch of the trunk space and not finding the key, you have two options.
1. Try finding the key number throgh the Lexus dealership who orignally sold the vehicle. I am assuming the seller has lost the information and the point of first sale was the time when the option was purchased.
2. Just buy new key and matching four lug nuts.
Till you have the matching key, keep a can of fix flat, {The stuff is nasty, and should only be used in case of an emergency, so remember to discard it later}

No big deal... and no need to be at the dealer's mercy. You can call Mc guard (they make the locks) and provide them the number in the green card you have in the glove box, that came with your owners manual. OR if you dont have that card, they will ask you to take a pic of the wheel locks, and send it via email. THey will give you the correct lock key, and charge you $11 bucs for a new one. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Which leads me to question the effectiveness of these locks.

I didn't have one so I drove to the Lexus dealership and the took out a case of a bunch of different ones and kept trying to match one up. Took a few tries, but got the right size. I think it was like $16.00.

Thanks for all your help on this. I finally got the one wheel off that I needed off today. The major problem is that my GS400 is a wrecked one I bought off ebay and I cannot drive it anywhere. I ended up banging a 3/4 socket onto the wheel lock and getting it off that way. Anywho, thanks!
For those who tried all the advices given here and still can't get the locks out, Craftsman makes a couple of "lug-out" tools. Not sure if it will work on the GS or aftermarket wheels though. They will damage the old lugs/locks so better have replacements.
