Default Wheel locks

Hi,
it's time for me to change the tires so I checked for my wheel lock key socket. I see that I only have one key socket, for those who have wheel locks, do you have one key socket or did you get two, the second being the spare?? Just concerned because I changed one tire before and I don't remember getting the key back from the mechanic..Just curious if we are supposed to have just ONE key socket for the wheel locks or two.

Thanks.

Yep just one. Don't lose it. The guy i bought my car from said he didn't know anything about it. I unfortunately needed it when it wasn't there. Took 3 weeks to get a replacement from mcguard

comes with one key, but I have two different key locks per wheel. You should have an extra lock at home just in case!

I ordered a second one and at some point I lost one... I would strongly suggest ordering a second one for backup. There has been a few times when I went to the shop and they had forgotten to give the key back and I had to go back inside to get it.

As I went for a tire rotation 2 days ago, they broke my lock socket due to the lug being too tight so they couldn't finish what they had started. Things went worse after that, as I got a flat yesterday and I couldn't replace the tire due to the broken lock. I just replaced them with regular lugs as I see the wheel lock set more as a hassle now.

if you lose the key, the dealer has a master. I've lost keys on 2 cars, but just had the dealer swap them with the OEM lugs.

My dealer said they have the master keys, but there's a card from mcguard that came with the car. You would need to fill that out along with $15 to mcguard to get a replacement key.
