Post Transfering Contacts into Navigation

Does anyone know how I can transfer my contacts into navigation but still use my iphone, just so I can have the names stored. Is there a way to have the contacts stored. Since the Iphone is not able to transfer contacts. Thanks in Advance!!

iPhone cannot send your address book over Bluetooth? Is that true? That would be a very major limitation in my book.

However, there is a very easy solution:

(1) Transfer your contacts to your SIM card;

(2) Borrow a device that can do transfer over Bluetooth (any Blackberry for example) from a friend;

(3) Insert your SIM card into that device, pair it with your car, and transfer the phone book. Done!

I believe the iPhone doesn't store contacts on the SIM card either (somebody said that on this forum on a previous topic at least). Apparently the only way is to jailbreak it and install an app that allows you to do it.

The important feature that the phone needs is support for the bluetooth Phonebook Access Profile to transfer the phonebook.

That would be even more messed up than not having Bluetooth transfer capability! How can a GSM phone not allow transfer of contacts to a SIM card??? WTF?

if your phone is jailbroken, download a 3rd party bluetooth stacker

I don't have experience with BB but the only phones that I've tried that I've had good luck with are SE phones K790a (which broke) and then an old used K850i I got to replace it... both seem to work well and support PBA profile as well as full sim card/contact capabilities.

Only problem with K850 is that while I used to hear the ringer through car speakers with K790 I don't seem to get that any more with the K850.
