Can we bombard Lexus with calls to complain their latest brake squealing TSB doesn't work?

Just dropped mine off today, with instructions to inspect in the morning, when brake squeal is most prevalent. The only brake work done on the car, was at 15K mile service, where the same dealer told me I needed new front brake pads, so I shelled over $400 for the service, and another $400+ for the pads. Currently, with 26K miles, still under factory warranty, they had the cajones to tell me there will be a $62 brake inspection fee. When I protested, they told me this will only apply if the problem they find is "not warranty related". When I protested more aggressively, they did not include the $62 on the estimate I signed. The problem is, I'm put in an uncomfortable position with a service adviser for a model which, still under warranty, is known to have this problem. What ever happened to "sorry you're having this difficulty...we'll take care of it for you"? I never had warm and fuzzy feelings for this dealership but, even in SoCal, they locate them an inconvenient number of miles apart. Can't wait to see how this plays out when I pick the vehicle up.

I had the TSIB done last Monday. I also asked for low dust pads TSIB done. Both were done and I no longer have the noise. Will see if noise comes back again since someone mentioned that the low dust pads (supposedly) make the noise issue worse than otherwise.

But I am a happy camper now! And my dealership did not give me any hard time whatsoever.

Welcome to my world boys and girls. I have had this issue like 6 months after I got my car (2008 GS350awd). Have had the TSIB and a couple revisions done over time. Nothing helped. Then my dealer called me in late November and said there was another revision on my brakes and this time he said they think they got it with the squealing, which at times is pretty embarrassing when I am parking somewhere.

They did the work - changed the pads and shims and one caliper. Was nice and quiet for about two weeks and here we go again...loud squealing. Unreal. 0-5.

The dealer keeps telling me the 2008 and 2009 are the only ones with this issue cuz they put different braking system on the car based on race cars. Whatever, they just cannot figure out how to correct it. I talked to my dealer the other day about the recall and mentioned the brakes and he said, "you have the latest revision on the brakes so really there is nothing we can do." Ughhhhhh

Just got my 2008 GS350 AWD back for brake squeaking noise. The technician performed TSIB L-SB-0040-09 with the following items.

04465-30450 Pad kit, disc brakes
04945-30330 Shim kit, anti sq
43512-30350 Disc, fr
43516-30040 Disc, fr lh

The squeaking noise is gone. I don't know how much dust will be generated. From the part number, I think the brake pads are newer than 04465-30400 from other people got in the previous thread.

The TSIB is only for up to 2008. My '09 started having the same problem -- squeak at low-speed, especially in a cold morning, and Stevens Creek Lexus told me this is to be expected. I think the '09s already have the updated brakes since I haven't had any dust problem. I guess I'm out of luck here except to go for an after-market? I don't find it to be too bad though since it only happens the first few minutes of driving.

The only true sollution for this problem is aftermarked pads. I have never heard my Posi quiet pads once I have installed them a year ago. There are so many members who gave up the idea of TSIB and went aftermarket.
