Default Brake Noise: squeaking

I have a 2009 GS 350 and recently the brakes have started squeaking intermittently, regardless of temperature. I have taken it the car into the dealer several times and found nothing.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

There is a brake TSB. I had my brakes replaced under warranty because I brought the car in 3 times with this same complaint. The service tech removed the brakes and said that they looked normal and they couldn't figure out why they are making soi much noise. They replaced them and I have been squeak free since then....thank god

Dont brakes squeak if pads are finished..? that was the reasoning of my dealership when I took mine.. ended up changing rears at 5k miles and squeaks were gone =0

So my theory aint true? I thought it was an indication that pads are worn out.... and there is no solution but to change :/

I took my car to the dealer for the 10k km service. They didn't notice any brake fade. But the brakes squeak ever since. Took the car in fine, took it out with squeaking brakes.

Go figure

It's the brakes themselves.

OEM brakes squeek. I just bought (40 days) an 06" GS300 with 38k miles, and I have no squeek on the brakes or no rattling in the dash and everythings works fine and DVD is overriden so I can watch DVD on long trips. The first owner said that she did get ride of the OEM tires because of road noise and she has taken care of all recalls. I am an old 530i driver, and I really enjoy my GS300.

TSB here...the fix is a shim, not new pads. They replaced my pads last year,
this fall the sqeak is back.

i've had both done shims and pads and the sqeaking came back...

on my last visit i was told that the pads needed deglazing which they did on the front brakes and it did stop them from sqeaking. well the rear is sqeaking again now. call back and was told it's the pads and lexus has a new pad coming out in Mar 2011. so we'll see... so far i get about 6 months/10k miles before the sqeaking comes back. will probably go with a quality aftermarket pad when the time comes.

One advice change you toyota/lexus brake pads to an aftermarket pads. Like I did, I wen't with akebono pro act ceramic pads. No dust,No noise, and Same oem pads stopping power. Did I forget to mention they are ceramic and will run 2 circles around the oem one's.
