Default Lows, Fogs, City and Reverse Lights

Hello everyone. I picked up my 2006 black/black gs300 (non-nav) in October and just recently joined this site and I have to say this site is so wonderfully mature and helpful. I've done a fair share of reading and learning and would like my first post to be a positive contribution to this site.
I've noticed a lot of questions and threads about lighting setups and thought I'd share mine and my experience. I initially ran stock lows with Polarg M4's and Nokya Hyper Yellows:

As said before, the Polarg M4's are a perfect match for the stock D4S Low beams. The only down side to them is that they aren't very bright and thus do not light up the housing very well. The Nokya Hyper Yellows were great, they gave me the icy yellow I wanted. I paired them with the Luminics heavy duty harness to prevent any damage. I ran this setup for about two months, and then swapped to HidExtra 6000k lows and 6000k HID 9006 fog light conversion. I also threw in a pair of LED city bulbs (from IJDM site):

I am very happy with this setup as all the lights match almost perfectly and light up very well. The fogs have a bit more of a blueish tint to them but they still go very well with the other lights. I also had my DRL's disabled by Magnussons Lexus (great service). Feel free to ask me any questions, I'll answer what I can.

I'm running a harness. It is not cheap to fix if it burns and warranty does not cover it since you swapped the bulbs. I recall someone burning theirs over in the 2IS section and burning the wires is very costly!

Would you rather 20 bucks on a harness or 1k up on repairs.

Nice, been looking for something similar. Do you have part#'s of the bulbs and harnesses and link to where you got them?

Why on earth would a wire harness cost that much to replace? I don't get it.

I bought my pair of Luminics heavy duty harness off of Ebay. "Luminics Plug-N-Play Headlight Bulb Harness Wire 9006" about $25 for the part and shipping. For my lows, I got the D4S bulbs in 6000k and did the 9006 HID conversion in 6000k from our vendor HIDextra. Email Michelle at info@hidextra.com, she's very helpful. The city light I used was the "New!!! JDM Wide-Angle Shine 8-SMD 1206 T10 LED Wedge Light Bulbs for 168 194 921 2825" from store.ijdm.com. I would suggest getting the harness because it's relatively a low cost to play it safe as opposed to being sorry.

Nice setup,
I just change my light to the same thing. Got my 6K Lows and 6k fog kit from Michelle also and noticed that the fogs do have a more blueish tint to them. Overall very satisfied with the setup. I may add the LED City bulbs. I like how bright they are. Does this have any effect on the high beams?

Thanks 1STLXS. I really like your rims. I'm at a tossup right now between those or the EXE Image. The 194 bulb has no effect on my highbeams. I left my highbeam bulbs stock but I had DRL function disabled (to avoid the LED city bulb from burning out). I went this route as opposed to swapping them to LED's because I wanted to retain the use of my high beams.
