Does the light around your cigarette lighter light up or no? Keep in mind the interior lights will only go on if you have the headlights turned on.

If the lighter doesn't light up either, then maybe the harness that attaches to the shift plate has come loose or something. I know there are two wires attached to it, which in my case were next to impossible to remove by force.

Follow the directions to remove the nav unit found on this board, you will only need to go as far as removing the center console. I'm not sure if there is a bulb or if it's LED that lights up or if it's even acessible but that's where you'll have to look. It's not very hard to get it off and take a look.
