Interior lights
I want to turn off the lights in the foot wells and the one that shines down on the shifter while driving. How do I do this without going to the dealership.

You can't "disable" them. The footwell lights are probably easy enough, they probably pop out and you can just disconnect their harnesses.
The light that shines on the shifter, I don't know... you can probably unplug the entire assembly but you'll likely lose all the lights up there. To disable that single light, you'd have to actually desolder it from the pc board.

I think what am going to do is add a switch the LEDs have to be turned on with some sort of relay. I am mystified why bare these not adjustable, the owners man says that the Lexus stealership can do it.
