Default Back-up Camera

When using the back-up camera, the lower right area of the nav screen is black as if something is partially covering the camera lens -- but there's nothing covering it. Anyone one have any insight on this?

hahahaa yeah, that's your rear bumper. just have someone play around at the back while you are in the car and you can see

if you go into navigation diagnostic screen i believe you can adjust the angle of the camera a bit, but i wouldn't recommend that

Lmao.
It would be more relevant if it was dead center, the camera.

this may be a silly question, but what is the "camera" looking thing in the black box under the brake light in the rear window?

There is a light sensor there that the car uses to adjust a number of things like the optitron dashboard tint. There is no shortage of electronic gadgets to go bad in these things, that's for sure.

well, i really wouldn't think the light sensors are wear and tears items.. it's probably gonna outlast the life of the car.. so no biggie

If you asked me the same about a sun shade a couple of weeks ago I probably would have said the same about that, too! Seriously, you don't expect wiper motors or wiper transmissions to go bad for nearly the life of a car and they work a lot harder, a lot more often. Go figure.
