What would you do??
as for pembroke pines, they kept emailing me with new cars that kept coming in.... i had to email the manager and tell him who i was to take me off the list (i clicked to take myself off their list like 6 times) very convenient drive if i come by n pick up the speakers... i can drop by and harass the manager there hahahaha
2 10's with the proper box and right frequency specs will do just as good as 2 12's. Bigger isnt always better especially in the audio world, certainly not in a Lexus imo. Its up to personal preference but I prefer to have the clean quality sound as compared to the loud boomy bass that people two blocks down the street can hear.
that is true, but generally 10" subs do not go as low (ie: hertz) when compared to 12" subs. i'm talking about sound quality (SQ), not db or big booming bass. in my old iasca (novice) competition system (1990 MB 300E 2.6), i had two 12" subs. and it was tuned in such a way that you couldn't tell there were 12" subs in the car when the volume was cranked (its all about the SQ).
I've kept everything as close to SQ as I could, and under a budget friendly price

The kicker kx750.1 wasn't my choice when it came down to a SQ-oriented amplifier, but I chose this amplifier because it was a inherited amplifier from my recently passed away family member. All in all the system worked out great, and the car has plenty of SQ behind it, alongside SPL with it.
.I later made this thread to get away from those subwoofers and teh w7, and ended up getting the 2 sundowns on reccomendation. The fellow told me he'd buy'em from me if I didn't like'em, but I ended up liking them more than anything!
Another great thing was that the subs are rebuildable for a measly $25-35.... SHIPPED.
P.S. not to rag or start a whole battle with JL vs the world.... but if you're looking for a good competitor vs the 10w7, the Sa-8 (sundown's 8in woofer) would probably put that thing to shame..... I've seen them in ridiculously small boxes, with a port on'em and my goodness, they wanted to come out of the trunk LOL!
