Default What would you do??

I'm about to build a custom box with a friend who's a PROOOO =]

I can't seem to sell my JL Audio 12w6s...(it's only been two days so who knows if i'll sell it or not by next week)

What would you do? 2 12w6's? or 1 single 13TW5?

12 x 2

IMO they will always sound better when it comes to hitting all the low notes. I had w3s and I was happy. Not so much of a system head anymore since I got the GS350 w/ ML. Maybe I don't want to bother with the headache and $$$. lol

2 smaller subs is better then one larger one if you want sound quality. I would keep the subs you have and make sure they get the power they need. Post pics once its done

thanks passnu! will do good sir, and uhh.... for wattage, i needed no more than 50-100 watts before i nearly blew my eardrums..... the roof of my old acura legend was hopping quarters with these two subs! the box i built was insane, i can't imagine doing an actual 500/1(which i'm doing) or even a 1000/1(the one i'm selling so i can downpower).

I would do 2 10's also for the best sound. I have one 12" Kicker and it hits so hard. I only have it turned a quarter of the way up.

Yes, I know but the ML suits my needs. I grew past the bass head phase of my life. Love my highs which the ML does nicely, otherwise I would throw in my MB Quarts.

problem with 2 10" subs is that they won't go as low as 2 12" subs. 12" subs is the best compromise (imho)

yeah... to be honest i only listen to rap music, not sharp techno beats so i don't think i'd be using 10s at all, thanks for stating that out stormforge =]

I would figure that the 10's would do it. At least for me it would be more than enough. I had 2 10" jL audio speakers in a box in a prelude in college and I used to really enjoy the car even more for the amazing system and added driving pleasure I would get from getting full music detail while rolling with the windows down on the freeways

2 10's with the proper box and right frequency specs will do just as good as 2 12's. Bigger isnt always better especially in the audio world, certainly not in a Lexus imo. Its up to personal preference but I prefer to have the clean quality sound as compared to the loud boomy bass that people two blocks down the street can hear.

I'm definitely not looking for the bass people can hear 4-5 blocks down, but if i can't sell my 12w6s for the price i need to sell them at, i'd rather keep them
