no need to be changed, sometimes the cap are not tightened up good enough and it will throw a code and cause those lights to come up. tighten it up and give it a few dry runs and it will go away

mine had to be replaced, but it was covered under my powertrain warranty. and i got a free loaner. happened to me a couple weeks ago.
Lexus GsT - just had the same issue yesterday....stopped by the dealer, they replcaed the o-ring on my gas cap, cleared the code, and it's good to go now. Check your o-ring.
