Hello need help from fellow GS430 Owners. Last night when I got into my car to start it, it hesitated like the battery was low. I restarted several times with this delay start. I have never experienced this before. So this morning i decided to record the starting and see if you think this sounds normal.

I'm assuming that you're the one that's turning it off (after it starts running), right?

If so, the cranking doesn't sound abnormal to me at all. At least not from the sound of the video.

Do you feel it cranks too slowly? Bring it somewhere to have your battery tested.

 

Sry, yep that me turning it off and restarting. I think it does crank over slowly. What is puzzling is that I just had the scheduled maint. done at the dealership and they tested the battery. I may take it to Autozone and have them check it.

i've never heard a V8 startup. so i dunno.

but it does sound sluggish and american.

maybe someone else with a 430 can compare....

 

sounds different than my GS430. Might just be in my head. I'll try to remember to take a video clip tomorrow for comparison.

 

430 with a fresh battery sounds exactly like that.

 

my 430 sounds just like that. sometimes it would be a little more sluggish when starting. There are no mods on my car at all either.

 

Thanks guys . will have the battery checked tomorrow just to be in the safe side, Living in Phoenix during the summer seams to do a number on the battery.

Sounds like mine has always sounded...
So I guess that since you are posting this, it has changed from what you consider "normal". Please keep us posted. (finally a Rookie!)

 

Sounds normal to me...even though I don't have a 430. The only time it sounded weird was the third time you started it...seemed sluggish that one time compared to the other attempts.
